I hate having my picture taken ... Newborn Lifestyle Session at home, Winchester
So, a few things you should know about me - I am an over sharer, open to talking about justt about everything. There is no limit, I have no filter and sometimes say too much. I hate having my picture taken and aviod it at all costs. Even a selfie is a well planned occurance. But what you should know is I absolutely love what I do. I am so passionate about newborn photography. I give my all every single time to make you photo session with me the best it can be. But, In order to do that I need to get to know your family and capture the essence of you all so you'll have o bear with me.
To help make sure you the most from your session I send you a questionnaire before we meet. This where you can tell me all about your family and what you’re hoping from your session so I can plan our time together.
Because it shouldn’t be stressful trying to get ready and think about how to prepare when you have a newborn at home every client will get a copy of my helpful preparation guide. It will go through all about what to expect on the day and cover one of my most asked questions hear “What shall we wear?”
On the day I always arrive around 10- 10:30. An earlier session always works well for little ones- Newborn’s and younger siblings alike. I’ll turn up with my camera ask you to show me around so we can check out the light. We’ll have a chat, hopefully over a cup of something, (tea, milk , no sugar for me please ) I’ll get to know you and most importantly if you have younger siblings as well , the children. I’ll overshare, play with the children and you will relax. Only then will we take some incredible images you’ll treasure forever.
Don’t worry about the camera, forget I am even there. Just be yourselves, love one other, snuggle, kiss tickle and laugh until you get tears in your eyes. I will get close, I will ask silly questions , and I will even ask you to take your socks off ( Dad’s I’m looking at you)but I promise it won’t feel awkward, and it you might even enjoy it ;)
Here's a few from one of my most recent sessions in my home town of Southampton. I loved this session so much.
