BIG SISTERS AND DOING IT
ALL OVER AGAIN...
Newborn Photographer Near Bishops Waltham , Southampton
My most recent newborn photo shoot was just outside Southampton. Despite getting lost by putting in the wrong postcode ( this is not the first time) I arrived in just in time to meet a new little boy, William.
I consider myself very, very privileged to be invited into people’s homes at such a special time. Having had 3 children myself I can honestly say that it’s one of the hardest but most incredible times and it should be cherished. I tell lots of my friends the same as I tell my clients, pull up the drawbridge at least for the first week. You have a newborn baby, you are tired , you are sore, and you want to live in your PJ’s with your unwashed hair piled on top of your head in a mum bun… you don’t need visitors unless they are bringing food and know to leave swiftly after delivering it to your door.
To come in to your home during this time isn’t something I take lightly. I am obviously there to take your photo, but I am also there for more than that. I love to talk, I love to listen to you moan about your husbands snoring at 3am whilst you are feeding the baby or talk through the mum guilt because you haven’t been able to read your toddler a bedtime story for 2 weeks or just to reassure you that you are more than enough. Because no one knows how this feels more than another mum who's jusr done it all.
This most recent newborn photo session was a little more special for me as this was with someone I have known for many years. It’s so lovely to reconnect with people you know from former lives and seeing Sam was no exception. Many moons ago we both worked together at a large mortgage broker both still share lots of mutual friends from our time there ( Hello's Ex TML-ers)
The session was so much fun. William was Mr. Chilled and despite spending most of the photoshoot awake he was very tolerant and eventually drifted off to sleep. This allow us to photograph him asleep in a blanket that was made especially for him. I love nothing more than incorporating special items in to your photographs, especially when it’s something someone has hand made for you.
As always, I struggled to pick just a few photographs to share. But here is a little sneak peak for you .
If you you’d love your own Newborn Lifestyle Session at home then please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
