I’ve been wanting to write a blog about this session for such a long time, but I just never seem to find time to do it. With the arrival of their print this morning it’s made me get my bum into gear and actually share with you this gorgeous newborn session at home in Colden Common, near Winchester. When I arrived at Amy’s home I was amazed by their beautiful interiors and could not wait to photograph them there. Amy told me how they spent the last few years renovating their home. I can tell you the hard work and really has paid off. With a newborn, two older children, two cats and a dog we were never goin
g to have a straightforward session. I think most of you would’ve heard of the expression herding cats. Well we really did herd cats, dogs and humans! At one point there were definite tears of laughter!! This was such a special newborn session and are really special time to Amy and her family. Their latest addition Roo had caused a few issues for mum towards the end of the pregnancy so it was wonderful that she had arrived safely and was now at home being doted on by her two older siblings , May and Vann. I did a lot of the session using the most beautiful vintage moses basket which actually belonged to Amy’s mum , so Amy and both her older children all slept in it as baby. For me that is one of the reasons I see love photographing your newborn baby in your home. I get to include the most gorgeous family heirlooms. I get to document your baby’s first home. I get create memories and freeze these moments in time.
Here are a few of my favourite photographs from this gorgeous newborn session. If you are hoping to book in and your are currently pregnant I am booking into Jan and Feb 2020. Carley xx
