I am often contacted by mums who have regretted not booking a newborn photoshoot. They felt like they we're missing out. They say they didn’t think they needed photos at the time. They thought they didn’t need someone to come in because they have been taking so many photos a (as we all do). Or, it all have felt a bit too much when you have just had a baby. Then suddenly they are 12 weeks into parenthood and start to realise how fast time is going and they are keen to capture their baby before they grow even more. They regret missing so many moments and wish they were in the frame more.
They think they have missed the boat. They kick themselves. But I couldn’t disagree more. I have been contacted by so many mums and dads over the years when their baby is around 3 -4 months and it’s becoming one of my favourite ages to shoot.
They are still very much a baby, but suddenly we have a baby with a huge personality. We have smiles, laughter , tons of engagement. We also have parent who are slightly less sleep deprived and siblings who have had a chance to adjust to life with their new brother or sister.
These images are a perfect example of what I love about this age.
If you had a baby in lockdowns you absolutely must get in contact to ensure we can capture these memories now 😍
